Jakarta, August 15, 2025 — Shanghai Sperta Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. has successfully concluded its participation in the Indo Water Expo & Forum 2025, held from August 13 to 15 at the Jakarta Convention Center. As one of Southeast Asia’s most prominent water and wastewater industry events, the exhibition attracted thousands of professionals from across the region and marked Sperta’s third consecutive appearance at the show.
At Booth BK12, Sperta presented its latest innovations in MBR (Membrane Bioreactor) membrane technology, including high-performance hollow fiber membranes and modular MBR membrane units for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment. The company also demonstrated a live pilot MBR system, showing on-site how wastewater is transformed into clear effluent through its advanced membrane system. This highlight drew continuous attention from both technical experts and commercial visitors.
Sperta’s MBR membranes are designed for upgrading traditional sedimentation systems, improving effluent quality, and saving space in new wastewater treatment plants. In addition, they are increasingly applied in river and lake water intake and reuse projects. When surface water contains higher levels of impurities and pollutants, conventional UF + RO systems often face clogging and reduced lifespan. By using MBR membranes as a pretreatment step, Sperta ensures more stable water quality for downstream RO and improves overall system reliability.
Over the course of the event, Sperta engaged with numerous system integrators, engineering firms, and project developers, aiming to expand its local partnership network and support domestic wastewater and industrial reuse projects across Indonesia. Sperta has already delivered over 200 membrane projects in more than 30 countries, including several in Indonesia for office buildings, hospitals, shopping malls, hotels, and industrial clients in sectors such as textiles and palm oil, with project scales exceeding 20,000 m³/day.
